Leonardo Bonucci and His Former Club Juventus

Leonardo Bonucci, the Italian defender, stated that he would be taking legal action against Juventus, his former club. It has occurred due to a fallout that has happened between him and his manager, Massimiliano Allegri. It has also led to his exit from Juventus.

Bonucci is now 36 years of age. He has spent about 12 years in Turin. It has been across two spells. Recently he was left out from Allegri’s squad. AC Can Compete Against All in Italian Football: Sachhi

AC Milan’s successful journey to the quarter-finals of the Champions League has ignited the belief in Arrigo Sacchi that they can compete with any team in the competition. The Rossoneri secured their place in the quarter-finals after a gap of nine years, with a 1-0 aggregate victory against Tottenham. Brahim Diaz scored the only goal of the tie early in the first leg at San Siro.

Despite the presence of powerhouses like Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid, and a possible matchup with Manchester City, Sacchi believes that Milan’s strong defensive display against Tottenham’s world-class attacking trio of Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, and Dejan Kulusevski has sent a clear message to their opponents. Why Did Juventus Deduct Points and How Did it Affect Italian Football?

Juventus has been deducted 15 points after the investigation into their previous transfer dealing, a development, which rocked Italian football and posed important questions further afield. The 36 times Italian champion who did not accept any wrongdoing and plans to appeal had been accused of fixing their balance sheets by increasing their transfer fees and had been handed the punishment by the court of appeal of Italy.

Juventus had been in third position in the Serie A table. However, the penalty is going to push them to tenth position putting their chances of qualifying for profitable European competition in danger. The court, in a statement, also imposed a ban on 11 present and past Juventus directors who hold a position in Italian football. Andrea Agnelli, the former president has been banned for 2 years and Fabio Paratici, the former sporting director, now at Tottenham, has been banned for 30 months. Didier Drogba Sends Out a Message to Juan Mata

Some players make a permanent place in the hearts and minds of many even after they leave the club. The supporters of Chelsea surely know some of those players.

One of the most recent examples is Antonio Rudiger. He is a figure that many Stamford Bridge fans never wanted to leave. Eden Hazard, Oliver Giroud, and Cesc Fabregas are the few current players who had been cut from the Chelsea cloth before time. However, there is arguably just one man above the rest who will always have in South West London if he ever wants. Continue reading Didier Drogba Sends Out a Message to Juan Mata

President of AIA Resigns Amidst Drug Trafficking Allegations

Allegations were raised about the head of referees’ involvement in a drug trafficking operation in Italy recently. As a result, Alfredo Trentalange has offered to resign from his post, which has been confirmed by media reports. He was president of AIA, the Italian referees association. He was elected as president in February of last year, 2021.

The allegations had been raised in November 2021 when 42 people were named as being involved with a drug circulation operation in Milan. Rosario D’Onofrio was among those arrested. Even then Trentalange did not step down from his presidential post. AIA stated that, after D’Onofrio was arrested Alfredo hid from them. He had also been put on house arrest for other drug offenses in the year 2020. Even then he was promoted to the president role in February 2021.                                  BAYERN RULE OUT TRANSFER FOR JUVENTUS STRIKER

Bayern Munich’s attack is blowing hot and cold in 2022/23, and with it, the discussion around whether the Bavarians need to find reinforcements in the transfers market to address Robert Lewandowski’s departure. While Lewandowski is busy collecting accolades and scoring goals apace for FC Barcelona in La Liga, his old club are still — depending on the latest result — wondering what their future looks like in attack. The big arrival from last summer’s transfer window, Sadio Mané from Liverpool, has already been moved to the left-wing on a seemingly permanent basis.

One possible solution? Classic center-forward Dušan Vlahović, the 22-year-old towering Serbian phenom who is currently toiling away at Juventus Turin (the same club that this past summer sent Matthijs de Ligt to Munich). While Juventus are languishing in eighth place in Serie A, well short of a Champions League place in the table, Vlahović won’t be a cheap commodity — and that, combined with Bayern’s (current) scoring mood, is keeping things cool, per Sky’s Florian Plettenberg. ITALY IN CONTENTION FOR FINAL PHASE

Italian football received a big boost after the senior national team defeated England 1-0 at home to stay in contention for the final phase of the UEFA Nations League this season. The Italians were not in top form ahead of this season’s Nations League, but they have been able to return to form to stay in contention for the final phase via Group A3.

Only one team will qualify for the final phase of this season’s Nations League. Apart from England and Italy, Hungary and Germany are the other teams in Group A3. Italian football suffered a huge setback when the senior team failed to qualify for the World Cup tournament in Russia four years, but the team recovered to win the European Championship last summer. The optimism from winning the European Championship was then wiped out with the failure to qualify for this year’s World Cup tournament. Italian football can recover from the setback of failing to qualify for the World Cup tournament in Qatar by securing a place in the final phase of this season’s Nations League billed to take place next year. Alisson Becker: 6.5/10

The Brazilian goalkeeper had very little to do with the goals Liverpool conceded. However, he did produce an impressive performance and saved a penalty early on in the first half. Continue reading       LIVERPOOL PLAYER RATINGS VS NAPOLI: 8/10 FOR DIAZ; MILNER,  GOMEZ ABYSMAL

TRANSFER NEWS: BATSHUAYI ON SALERNITANA RADAR

BARCELONA GOALKEEPER NETO KEEN ON SIGNING FOR NAPOLI THIS SUMMER

According to a report by Spanish publication SPORT, Neto is hoping to complete his move to Napoli before the ongoing week ends. The Catalan giants are ready to let the Brazilian goalkeeping ace walk away from Camp Nou for free, but they want him to forego the rest of his wages before joining the Serie A giants. Barcelona might have been on a roll in the summer transfer window thus far, but there is still a lot of work to be done before Xavi Hernandez has his desired squad at his disposal. While they have signed several top-class players, they remain in the market for a few more additions.

At the same time, Barcelona will need to lighten the wage bill to register the new signings while balancing the books at the same time. The Blaugrana left behind several players in Barcelona before embarking on the pre-season tour to the USA, but none of them has come any closer to sealing their departures. However, one player who might finally be inching closer to the exit door at Camp Nou is Neto. Continue reading        BARCELONA GOALKEEPER NETO KEEN ON SIGNING FOR NAPOLI THIS SUMMER
