The Catalan giants are ready to let the Brazilian goalkeeping ace walk away from Camp Nou for free, but they want him to forego the rest of his wages before joining the Serie A giants. Barcelona might have been on a roll in the summer transfer window thus far, but there is still a lot of work to be done before Xavi Hernandez has his desired squad at his disposal. While they have signed several top-class players, they remain in the market for a few more additions.

Antonio Conte Dismisses Talk Of Becoming Italy’s Next Manager

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has stressed that he is committed to the Blues for the remainder of his contract despite talk of him rejoining Italy in the summer. Speaking ahead of the Manchester City game, the 48-year-old reiterated his stance with his Blues contract only expiring in the summer of 2019, he said: “I think I have already answered this question, nothing has changed compared to the past… especially my answer, it has not changed.”

Conte has come from some criticism from the club’s faithful this term, but most of it has been in patches where the Premier League holders have struggled to find a winning momentum. The worst possible streak came during their defeats at the hands of Watford and Bournemouth, but the Italian managed to steady the ship with a strong performance against Barcelona in the Champions League.

James Milner has revealed that the prospect of playing regular first-team football

James Milner has revealed that the prospect of playing regular first-team football was one of the main reasons why he joined Liverpool on a free transfer from Manchester City. The England international had been at the centre of a tug of war between Liverpool and Arsenal.

Other clubs like United and Chelsea were also showing tentative interest in the player who has won all the domestic trophies on offer. However, he chose Liverpool and will be wearing the iconic number seven shirt at the club. This move also presence Milner with a lot of responsibilities since he is expected to be named as the captain after the departure of Steven Gerrard.

Milner has long wish to play as a central midfielder but he has not been given the opportunities to do so at his previous clubs.
