The Nerazzuri dominated Italian football for the majority of the just finished Italian Serie A campaign and they rightly dominated the list of best players released by CIES Football Observatory. Six Inter Milan players made the Serie A XI to highlight their supremacy as the best team in Italian football.

Inter Milan players that made the list include Slovenian national team shot stopper Samir Handanovic, Moroccan international fullback Hakim Achraaf, Croatian international midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and young Italian defender Alessandro Bastoni. The other Inter Milan players that made the list include Belgian national team hitman RomeluLukaku and Slovakia player Milan Skriniar.

CIES Football Observatory arrived at the best team in the top five leagues including the Italian Serie A thanks to the CIES Performance Index that has been designed with the use of OptaPro data.

Inter Milan had already secured the title with many matches left to play this season as they bagged a first league title for the first time since when the club won the treble. The Nerazzuri are back at the top of Italian football thanks to manager Antonio Conte who was also responsible for bringing the title back to Juventus over a decade ago.

Conte led Juventus back to the Italian Serie A title at the end of the 2011/12 season. He won three straight titles with the Old Lady before leaving to take up the Italian national team job. He became the Inter Milan boss at the start of last season.

Apart from the six Inter players, others like Lorenzo Insigne (Napoli), Robin Gosens (Atalanta), Domenico Berardi (Sassuolo), HakanCalhanoglu (AC Milan) and Rodrigo De Paul (Udinese) also made the list.
