Mazzarri confident Inter cna perform

Inter Milan manager Walter Mazzarri says that he is confident that his team can become the Barcelona of the future. Barcelona are regarded as one of the most successful clubs in the last seven or eight years. They have lifted every major trophy on numerous occasions during this period. However, the start of the very first century was not exactly ideal for the Catalan club, as they struggled to cope with the issues. They were constantly under the shadows of their arch rivals Real Madrid.

Inter Milan’s most successful period in the history recently came to an end after the club slip out of the Champions League and also out of contention for the league title in the last few years. Prior to this form of form, Inter won 5 successive league titles and also the Champions League after a gap of more than four decades. Mazzarri says that Inter are going through a transitional period right now, but he is confident that the players that are coming through the ranks will help the club once again return to the top. After struggling in terms of trophies in the early part of the 21st century, Barcelona enjoyed immense success under Frank Rijkaard and Pep Guardiola.

“Ours is a project that goes forward in time. A new cycle has started and no one has pointed out that we’re playing with four young players. Just like it happened at Barcelona, we will return to winning. At Napoli I demonstrated my ability to carry out a project. My hope is to reach the Champions League right away. You have to find the quality through work. Big signings are not the only way to create a big team,” said Mazzarri, who led the club to a fifth place finish last season. Inter recently won 7-0 against Sassuolo at the San Siro.

Rodwell Completes Move To Sunderland

In an effort to get back into the England national team, Jack Rodwell has completed a £ 10 million move to Sunderland. The former Everton midfielder has struggled for first-team opportunities at Manchester City. He moved to Etihad stadium for around £ 12 million two years ago. However, after featuring in just 26 matches during this period, he is keen on getting regular football. Rodwell was once spoken as the next big thing in the England setup. This was primarily due to Wayne Rooney’s emergence from the Everton youth ranks in the same way as Rodwell.

The 23-year-old, though, has struggled to live up to the expectations primarily because of injuries. He appears to be finally behind the injury problems, but getting game time at City has been tough because of the intense competition. Players like Yaya Touré and Fernandinho have dominated City midfield and it will be tough to dislodge them straightaway. Once spoken of as the replacement for Frank Lampard, Rodwell is keen on recovering his international career. Since making his England debut in 2011, the 23-year-old has made only three appearances in total for the national team.

Due to Roy Hodgson’s clear statements that he wants to focus on the youth for the upcoming Euro 2016, Rodwell may feel that he will have a great opportunity should he play regularly. “Regular football is the most important thing for me. This is a great place for me to be. Watching the World Cup left a little bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. I was supporting the team 100%, but I also wanted to be there so I think it’s time I put that right. Without doubt the last couple of seasons I have not played nearly enough football as I have wanted to play,” said Rodwell.

Mazzarri Already Planning For Next Season

Walter Mazzarri signed a two-year contract with Inter Milan when he moved to the club last summer from Napoli. He has completed one year of the contract and is now entering into the second term. However, he has had to fight a lot of speculation about his future following a disappointing campaign with the club in which they finished only in the fifth place. As a result, they will have to settle for another season without Champions League football. Despite this, Mazzarri is confident that the club will return back to this European competition.

He says that he is now ready to start working for the next season. The club are expected to strengthen significantly in several areas of the pitch. They will be working towards improving the defence and midfield, where they have already lost a number of key players. Esteban Cambiasso has been allowed to leave the club, while the same applies to the likes of Diego Milito and Walter Samuel. Javier Zanetti has also announced his retirement from a game. Such mass exodus of established players is likely to believe the squad very thin going into the new season.

Mazzarri has been offered a new contract according to the club’s chief Piero Ausilio. It remains to be seen if he will sign the deal without proper assurance of a substantial transfer budget.

“Not continuing with Inter? I already have a contract. Last year at Napoli mine was set to expire and I had the best season of my career. I wouldn’t change anything if not extend it, because I already have one. Next season I’ll give my all for these colours, beyond any extension. I’ve never been a coach who sought out contracts. I worked. And then when the time comes to start a new season you have to do it beyond what the contract might involve,” said Mazzarri.
