Morata has agreed a deal with Barcelona, but he has to wait for the Catalan giants to reach an agreement with his Italian football club and parent club Atletico Madrid. The 29-year-old Spanish striker has been strongly linked with an exit from Italian football team Juventus in this winter transfer window as he has not really convinced Old Lady manager Massimiliano Allegri that he’s the man to score the goals that would win titles for the club. Juventus are already looking for a replacement for him. Some of the options for Juventus include Arsenal star Pierre-EmerickAubameyang and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) attacker Mauro Icardi.

PSG player Icardi is not a regular in the starting XI at the Parc des Princes due to the presence of the front trio of Neymar, Lionel Messi and KylianMbappe. For Aubameyang, the Gunners striker has fallen out favour with manager Mikel Arteta and he could leave the club during this winter transfer window.

Agresti is the Juventus correspondent for popular media outlet Goal and he revealed that Morata already has an agreement in place with Barcelona for an 18-month contract.

Spanish national team star Morata signed for the Old Lady in September 2020 from Atletico Madrid in his native Spain. The ex-Real Madrid and Chelsea attacker joined Juventus for his second spell in Turin as an Atletico Madrid loanee. Morata was also a Real Madrid loanee during his first Juventus spell.

Morata has played 23 times for the Old Lady in all competitions this season amassing a total of 1579 minutes and he has seven goals and three assists to show for his troubles.
