Cambiasso Claims Numerous Offers

Former Inter Milan Esteban Cambiasso says that he has received a lot of offers from several clubs in Europe after becoming a free agent. The 33-year-old left Inter Milan last season and he will now be able to join any club without a transfer fee. Due to the experience and quality that he offers, many clubs are reportedly looking to take Cambiasso from Italian football. They include the likes of Tottenham from the English Premier league. After having played for the likes of Real Madrid and Inter Milan in the last decade, Cambiasso is a player who knows the top-level football inside out.

He has lifted numerous trophies including the Champions League in 2010. There have also been five league titles along the way. After having experienced such highs in his career, Cambiasso had to leave after having failed to help Inter Milan qualify for Europe this campaign. Despite this setback, Cambiasso is unlikely to face any shortage of offers as the World Cup comes to an end. He is widely expected to complete a move before the end of July. There have also been suggestions that he may decide to leave European football and return to Argentina.

Cambiasso has rejected such suggestions by stating that he wants to continue playing in Europe at least for a few more years. “My career for the time being is still in Europe. I have several proposals from big clubs but as a sign of respect for them I will not reveal the negotiations that my father and my brother are undertaking. My future is very far from Argentina,” said the midfielder on the official site of Inter. The midfielder made more than 300 appearances in the league for Inter Milan from 2004 to 2014. He represented Real Madrid for two years from 2002 to 2004.

AC Milan Have No Interest In Selling Balotelli

AC Milan appeared to be having no intention of selling striker Mario Balotelli despite rumours constantly linking the former Manchester City player with a return to the Premier league. Balotelli moved to the San Siro in an £ 18 million deal a few years ago. He is known to be a supporter of Milan and this helped the club get his signing. After the departure of numerous star names like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva, Balotelli is one of the few top players left at the club. Milan have been going through troubled times in recent years with a lot of difficulty especially in the financial sense.

This is likely to get only bigger after the club failed to get any form of European football for the upcoming season. They finished outside the Champions League and the Europa League places last season. Due to the suspect, it has been heavily speculated that Milan will consider selling Balotelli, who is one of the most saleable assets in order to raise money for new signings. In the last few weeks, the Italian international has been linked with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool. Despite the struggles of the pitch, Balotelli remains as one of the most talented strikers in the world.

“AC Milan must return to have a lead role in Italy, in Europe and in the world. Balotelli? I believe that he will stay and will be part of the new team. Inzaghi? I’ve seen him very determined, hungry for victory and absolutely in line with everything we want Milan to be. We want a team who wins and entertains the fans. There are different options we have in the transfer market. We hope to put a team out on the pitch next year that can begin a new cycle,” said Berlusconi.

TOTTI DELIGHTED

Roma captain Francesco Totti has stated that he is extremely delighted with the way the club has managed to return to Champions League after several years out of this elite competition. Roma have been consistent players in the Champions League only a few years ago, but the last few years have been very difficult for the club. The arrival of Rudy Garcia as the coach has done wonders to the team. They have not only been able to return to Champions League, but this was also the season that they almost won the title.

The title campaign suffered during the middle of the season. Otherwise, they would have been top of the table. Continue reading TOTTI DELIGHTED

JUVE DEFEATED

Juventus suffered their first defeat in a long time after being beaten 2-0 by Napoli during the weekend. This brought an end to the unbeaten run, which stretches over 22 matches. Their club have been simply brilliant other Antonio Conte, who is on course to leading the club to their third straight league title. The brilliant young and upcoming manager has said that the club needs to recover quickly from this defeat. He says that the defeat against Napoli is a major motivation to get back to winning ways when the club take on Lyon in the Europa league.

After being knocked out of the Champions League at the group stages, Juventus has set a target of winning the Europa league this campaign. This will be their first major European success in a long time. After almost sealing the Italian Serie A title, Juventus will be shifting their focus entirely towards this competition. They have been drawn against French outfit Lyon, who have fallen from their Champions League days of the past. The first leg will be away from home and it gives Juventus a great opportunity to put themselves in a commanding position before the return leg.

Lyon have been for the French league this campaign and Conte is straightaway targeting a win from the first leg.

“I hope the defeat in Naples will allow us to regroup. Lyon are a great French team, very strong in attack and also physically. We know their strengths and weaknesses. We know that the first leg is always important. We are going to try and keep the ball. The fact we are the last Italian team in the Europa League is a great satisfaction but has put pressure on us. We want to go far in this competition, the final is at home. But we have injured players too,” said Conte.
